Since last Wednesday my life has been topsy turvy to say the least! On top of Ms. M's stroke, a dear friend's father passed away suddenly and completely unexpectedly due to a heart attack!
With everything going on at the moment it will be a little while longer before I'm back to my regular blogging schedule...real life has crept in to remind me that life doesn't always revolve around the internet!
Last night before collapsing in to bed, I went out and just stood on our dock for awhile and watched the full moon rise above the water. It was nice to just have a quiet moment to reflect on this past week's craziness and to stop and be thankful for family, friends, and good health!
I had promised you all that I would show you a gorgeous waterfront home, and I haven't forgotten! When life slows back down a little I'll be sure to show you more of this lovely home...you won't want to miss it!
And along with a fun house tour, I'll also be introducing you to some beautiful bedding that will be in stores this fall. I know you all will love it, and here's a tiny sneak peek at just one of the collections!
But because life has been so crazy, and I haven't been around to work on my own blog, reply to your wonderful comments, or visit anyone else's blogs...I thought a wonderful Giveaway might tide you all over!
You may remember a while back when I featured a giveaway of some beautiful beach glass jewelry made by my friend Julie of Frosted Trash. Well she has kindly offered me these stunning earrings to use for another great giveaway!
I love everything Julie creates...I'll be showing you a pair of earrings she gave me recently that I LOVE and have already worn almost daily! Once again Julie has outdone herself by designing these gorgeous earrings that combine pale turquoise sea glass with crystals and pearls to create something you'll want to wear every day too!
All you have to do to enter to win the earrings pictured above is to visit Julie's blog Frosted Trash
1. Then come back and tell me which pair of earrings (that she has featured in her latest post), you can't live without!!
2. For a second chance to win let me know that you are a follower of my blog, or Julie's (I know she would love to have a few more friends and followers of her blog!) and you'll be entered for a 2nd chance to win! (Be sure to leave a separate comment)
3. And for a 3rd chance to win, blog, tweet, or post on facebook and then leave a 3rd comment for yet another chance to win!
The contest will be open until Tuesday, August 2nd at midnight PST and is open to everyone!!
Thank you to everyone for your continued support and understanding! I hope to be back to blogging full time very soon! See you then my friends!!!
First I am sorry for your loss, and I hope things start looking up for you soon!

ReplyDeleteLove anything in a Blue-Green ocean color!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks!

Oh Kat, I'm so sorry to hear about all you and your friends have been going through. I've had a busy, hectic time myself, but nothing like this. Makes me put things in perspective.
ReplyDeleteI'm sending well wishes and healing thoughts out to Ms. M. My mother suffered a devastating stroke and I know full well how hard it is to see someone you love go through this. When the time is right, I'd be happy to share a few tips that I learned through the process. Hopefully, she will make a full recovery and that is news I hope you all receive.
I will go and visit Julie's blog and post your giveaway in my sidebar, but I'm not going to sign up for your lovely giveaway. I wear very little jewelry and someone should win that will truly appreciate these fabulous earrings!
Hugs
The colors in this serene house are fabulous! I love all the wood with the beautiful soft white and those fabulous sea colors.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking the big fishbowl is full of gorgeous sea glass! What a beautiful statement!
I just said a little prayer for you. When the business in life and reality creeps into our day to day it often has such an effect on us! Just throws us off our game! So sorry to hear you are dealing with some illness in people you care about on top of being so busy.
I pray that God will care for them and you!
Yvonne
The ebbs and flows of life are as certain as the tide's.
ReplyDeleteSaying a prayer for you and yours.
Rhonda
Oh, I love her jewelry and everything she makes! The first earrings in her post with the small round pearls are simply wonderful! I LOVE sea glass! I'm sorry for your loss and the sickness of your friend. It seems to come all at once. Take care and thank you! ♥

ReplyDeleteDear Kat,
ReplyDeleteI am sorry that you are going through a difficult time. I enjoy reading your blog. This is the first time that I have ever left a comment in anyone's blog site. I love the third pair of earrings from Frosted Trash.
Kat, I'm so sorry to hear of all the difficulties you are going through, thoughts and prayers are being sent your way {{{hugs}}}.
ReplyDeleteI have been a follower of yours for quite some time and am now a follower of your friend Julie's Frosted Trash blog. She makes some lovely jewelry and I am quite fond of the first pair she has posted. There's nothing like jewelry made from beach glass but on the SW coast of Florida it is difficult to find.
Hi! So happy to see all of the sea glass pictures, but so sorry to hear about "real" life... funny how that seems to happen. I am a devoted follower, and am now a follower of Julie's blog, I think I like the 2nd pair of earrings the best, but anything with sea glass is all right with me!
ReplyDeleteOMG, I can't get over this sea glass filled bowl -how awesome!! I don't have ear piercing, so I'm not entering. Love the float display too, what treasures. Wish you all the best!!!
ReplyDeleteOh Kat your week must have you just longing for normal again. I would be hard pressed to decide on which pair of earrings is more delightful. Love the element of pearls that Julie added. And that great big amazing bowl of sea glass up there too! That inspires me to come up with a nice place to display my collection too. Hope your next week is less eventful for you, and a whole lot more predictable. xo ~Lili

ReplyDeletehttp://sherrisreadingjubilee.blogspot.com
I follow Frosted Trash now, and am totally smitten with her beautiful creations. I'm especially psyched about both of you (I read you every day) because you're in my neck of the woods (I live in AVA)! We Delmarva girls have it all goin' on!
ReplyDeleteI adore both the first and second pair of earrings especially. I haven't had a beach vacation in almost ten years and sorely miss the sand between my toes. At least this way, I could have some essence of the beach, dangling from my ears!
Love the pale green triangles with the fresh water pearls.. My grandma bought me a bracelet with fresh water pearls back in the late 80's before she passed away and they always make me think of her.
ReplyDeleteI also love the little dog, looks so much like my little dog Koda. He is the sweetest little guy, follows me everywhere.
Maryland is beautiful, the bay is amazing. We have passed thru quite a few times going to Rehoboth from Ohio.
First and foremost, I am so sorry for your loss. My heart is with you.
ReplyDeleteAs for earrings.... I'm pretty sure I can't live without the ones you've pictures above. The love the sea glass and crustal combination. Thanks a million to you and Julie for the giveaway. Please count me in.
Happy weekend, jj
PS I'm your follower too!

Kat - my prayers go out to you during this difficult and stressful time in your life. I'm glad that you had a chance to reflect on good life and health and blessings at some point during your week. God will be taking extra good care of you, friend.
ReplyDeleteI did enter your giveaway because I'm loving those dangle earrings with the small round pearls and oblong pale green sea glass. Just beautiful! Julie does awesome work - and I'm now following her blog. I love dangly earrings and wear them all the time. And sea glass? It's nature's jewelry for sure.
Thanks for offering this giveaway and thinking about us even while you are hurting. You're awesome.
