(Kim Klassen Warm Sun and Love Textures)
At 5 am this morning the weather took a decidedly nasty turn, and we had strong winds, heavy rain, lightning, and even the threat of a tornado.
The winds have died down some, and the rain has stopped, but the temps have fallen and it's looking like early April once again around these parts. So with a break before I needed to head out and run errands to get ready for a show I have this weekend, I decided to try a few new textures on some of my recent photos. I'm also linking up with Kim Klassen's Texture Tuesday Party.

I snapped these daffodil pictures while we were over at my parent's house working last night. I love the ruffled variety above. I think my sister M gave these bulbs to my mother, and they remind me of ruffles on a lady's petticoat.
And here is the "after" with Kim's Warm Sun texture. I erased some of the texture from the eggs and love the vintage look the texture creates. Be sure to visit Kim's site to sign up to receive your very own free textures, and I highly recommend purchasing a few of her great sets too! And you can also see all of the other great texture shots on her Texture Tuesday meme party by clicking HERE!
Wow! I love the way you've manipulated these photos! Your photos are always gorgeous and adding textures really adds another dimension. I've only just started playing with photo-editing. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful as always
ReplyDeleteLots of wow! Love the tins.
ReplyDeleteWe had that weather here one night earlier. Warm and sunny today and rest of week. Called my Dad in GA earlier to check on him. The worst skirted them.
Lovely photos and techniques.
ReplyDeleteAdore Kim's textures and love that she gives a few away to we peons who are too cheap to pay for textures. For anyone reading this post... go sign up because Kim does one free texture per week.

Hi Kat, your images are so lovely! I'm still trying to figure out how to organize my photos on Picassa, so heading over to Kim's site is still a bit out of my reach, but certainly something I'd love to try in the future! Envious of your warm days, the wind and rain woke me up this morning in NW NJ. Ciao, bella!
ReplyDeleteThe egg photos are achingly beautiful - I want to live in the house in which they sit - and that's what a good photo does to me.
ReplyDeleteKat these are gorgeous images!! Love the different applications you are using!

Such lovely photos, Kat! The snow is nearly gone here, and ice will soon be out on the lakes! Glad you made it through the storm safely! All that rain really greens things up!

I always love your fantastic photos Kat. spring is such a lovely time of the year!
ReplyDeleteGlad you got to take those flower pictures before the bad weather came. We had terrible storms here in Charlotte too. I love the egg photos before and after!
ReplyDeleteOh I so love those textures and that ruffled daffodil is so gorgeous! ~Lili
ReplyDeleteOh and I forgot to mention that we experienced that wind and even hail when we were in Charlotte. Knocked down trees were everywhere the next day and Henri's Sis lost her power for the entire day. But hey, it was so warm there, even that didn't keep us from enjoying it! ~Lili
