If You Only Walk Long Enough

"Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?"

"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to," said the Cat.

"I don't much care where -- " said Alice.

"Then it doesn't matter which way you go," said the Cat.

" -- so long as I get somewhere," Alice added as an explanation.

"Oh, you're sure to do that," said the Cat, "if you only walk long enough."

  6. I LOVE Alice in Wonderland - in fact good children's books fill a real need, I'm glad I kept so many! Peter Pan, Five children and It, The Hounds of the Morrigan - is it second childhood that I still read them?

    Beautiful blossom~

  11. Isn't it amazing how much wisdom one can find in Alice in Wonderland's nonsense? This is how our Alice got her name ... because we run around spouting quotes from this book more often than should be normal, and 'Alice' is perfect for her. If you think about it, there are an awful lot of good lessons to be found in the most unlikely of places.

The sunrise is beautiful this morning!!!

  13. Gorgeous soft photos. So peaceful. Thank you for sharing spring with us ~ it's sooooooo long coming here. Even the forsythia don't want to poke their faces out yet, which is very unusual.

  15. Gorgeous photos Kat. I love when the trees bloom - one of my favourite times of year.

I've read over your past posts and do hope you follow your heart and only post when you really want to, not because you feel the need to or have to. I love the direction your blog has taken - a fine mix of musings, photos, family, and decorating. I love a little peak into others lives (and minds) and you do it well. It is never a good thing, though, when you feel like it is an obligation. So my advice is keep it obligation free!

  18. Kat, your photographs are always so beautiful. They make me feel good, even on a bad day! We had a cherry tree in our last garden. I do miss it so this time of year. We keep saying we will add three to our new home, but haven't - even after five years. But I am going to put it on my calendar for this fall. Their blossoms are so pretty, and I love the way the petals fall and cover the ground like snowflakes. Their shape and bark is interesting as well. Everyone should plant at least one!

Also, you next post on the books has me ordering from B&N. Your photographs of the stoneware pitchers and white tulips is simply gorgeous. I don't post comments often, but I read almost daily. Thank you for your beautiful contributions to my days.

  23. How clever was Lewis Carrol Kat! He knew (waaay back then) the type of things we would all be struggling with now - only we didn't realise it then. I LOVE Alice in Wonderland almost as much as I LOVE your glorious pictures. I have a painting I did of Alice and the Chesire Cat hanging above my desk - it always makes me smile! ;)Sharyne
