Sick As A...

Thanks everyone for your wonderful comments about my 1 year blog anniversary, reading them has been better than a big bowl of chicken noodle soup!

And speaking of chicken noodle soup, I could use a whole vat of the stuff!  Both my son and I have come down with some sort of nasty virus, the kind you get after spreading yourself too thin during the holiday season.  The kind that sneaks up on you and makes you say things like "I feel sick as a dog," and makes you wish you owned a big red water bottle with its very own sweater!

Thankfully, these guys are not sick as dogs.  And also thankfully, Mr. Tide has been around to help out by doing EVERYTHING around here, including answering my work emails...I have to admit, he does make a pretty cute secretary!

For now I'll be snuggling up with these guys under warm blankets, drinking copious amounts of tea, and wondering how people can subsist on daytime television??!!!  Maybe tomorrow I'll feel good enough to fire up my laptop and catch up on what's been going on in the world...maybe.  For now I'm headed back to bed.

I hope all is well in your world, and that you stay healthy!

  10. Hi Kat,
sorry to hear you're under the weather. There is something fluey going around over here too - my husband had it and is never ill - the last time he was ill was when we were on holiday in America 14 years ago! It's nasty. I've got a sinus thing at the moment - headaches, eye pain, sniffing - yuk! I hate being ill and even more I hate being off work when I'm ill as I think about all the things that need doing around the house that I should be doing!!
Hope you feel better soon anyway.
    Enjoy cuddling your dogs.

  16. I hope your feeling better soon. DVDs are what you need, not TV. A few good movies should help the day go by - if I were closer I'd lend you some.

  25. I have a sick husband upstairs probably with the same ailments. He flew in from Florida late last night and went right to bed.

Just like you I'm curled up with my two furry friends enjoying the winter sun today. Thanks for the beautiful pictures of those babies of yours, they have such beautiful expressive faces.

  26. Sorry you are sick. Mr. C's favorite when he is sick is tea. I see you are a tea family, we are as well. "Tea cures what ales you!" Hope it works and you are all better soon. :-)

  28. Kat, I tell everyone who will listen, and even some who won't, old-fashioned Vicks VapoRub is magic. Put it on your chest and up your throat, wrap a towel around your neck, tuck it into the front of an old shirt, button up, and go to bed. You'll be right as rain in no time! And chicken soup is more than a myth; it works!...Feel better soon.

  34. Thanks for stopping by my Blog-hope you have time to check it out again. Hope you are feeling better soon--the Holidays can certainly take a toll on a person. "Rest" is the best medicine ( my husband is a Doctor and even says that). What cute dogs you have. I have Papillions--kind of look like yours only smaller. Take care. Mickie
