Luck Be a Lady

One of the best parts about my writing job, and now my blog, is that I get to meet wonderful people and tour amazing homes!  And this weekend's photo shoots reminded me once again of how truly lucky I am to be able to do what I do and get paid for it!

And because you know I love to tease you all, here are a few sneak peek shots of the three homes I photographed this weekend!

Saturday's shoot was of a beautifully renovated home with enough coastal charm to fill several homes and I can't wait to show it to you in the next few days!  The owners Greg and Sonya couldn't have been any nicer, and their Nantucket style home is as welcoming as they both are!

Today's shoots were scouting shots for a few national publications, and let's just say that these were also some truly amazing homes!  I had written about one of the properties when the current owner's parents lived there, and now that their daughter and her husband have infused the home with their own sense of style,  the house is even more lovely!

Then I was off to photograph her sister's gorgeous home on the same piece of property, and it too was drop dead gorgeous!  And as if having a breathtakingly beautiful home weren't enough, these sisters and their husbands are some of the nicest, most gracious people on the planet!

Mr. Tide has never tagged along before in the last 11 years that I've been writing about homes and each time we left a house over the last few days he was awestruck by the shear beauty of each home we visited and the warm welcome we received from the homeowners.  All of the homes we visited were unique, each with their own sense of style, yet all truly magnificent in their own right and I look forward to sharing them with you all very soon!

But for now, I wanted to remind you that it's not too late to enter my latest giveaway.  Simply click HERE to enter to win a signed copy of Scott Kelby's wonderful digital photography book!

  12. Hi, I love your blog, would you happen to know the color of the blue wall where the star fish is propped against or even the blue wall in the kitchen photo, I love them both.

  13. Kim, I don't know what color the blue is on either of those walls. It is actually the same color in both rooms, but the kitchen has a glaze applied over the blue to create a linen type look. If I can find out I will pass that along to you!

    Kat :)
