Studio Three Part 2 and A Giveaway

Yesterday I took you on a tour of a store in La Plata, Maryland called Studio Three Flowers.  As I mentioned in my last post, Studio Three will be hosting their annual open house this weekend from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm so they've been busy decorating the store for the holiday season...and it's beautiful!

Yesterday I showed you mostly overall shots of how the store looks, but in today's post I wanted to get up close and personal and share some of the wonderful items they have used to create this winter wonderland!

And be sure to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the post to find out about a lovely giveaway!!!

I think what makes these trees and this store so special is the lavish way in which each tree and the entire store is lovingly decorated.  It truly is a sight to behold!

The trees are all done in a different theme and you really have to stand and stare at them for awhile to appreciate all of the wonderful individual ornaments, silk flowers, and ribbon on each one.

Musical instruments filled this tree...

As well as beautiful European style ornaments in a variety of themes.

My daughter goes to the ballet each year to see the Nutcracker, so she would appreciate these lovely sequined fellows!

This tree was my favorite of all the trees in the shop, which is really saying something since all of the trees are magnificent!!  It had a chartreuse and white theme and Anne Ford, one of the owners, had used gorgeous silk tulips and shimmering branches at the top of the tree to create a little unexpected sparkle and drama.

Dripping in icicles, flocked branches kissed with snow, and strewn with sparkling seashells, it immediately caught my eye.  It was so completely fresh and different, and I thought to myself, "wouldn't this be perfect for a winter wedding!"

I also loved this beautiful nativity set.  Its simple antiqued white color with a touch of glitter would be beautiful on an entry table or just about anywhere!

Here is more of the set atop a mantle...so pretty!

I mentioned my love of snowmen in my last post, and this one almost came home with me.  Look at that faux fur scarf, and his top hat made from tree bark!  Looks like Frosty has had a makeover!!

Snow 'men' aren't the only ones who can look fetching during the winter months.  This little snow girl was happy to be safely nestled in the branches of the snow themed tree this year.

Butterfiles seem to be all the rage this year for Christmas, and this be jeweled beauty was ready to take flight.

If visions of sugar plums dance in your head, then this candy cane confection is sure to please.

I think I saw a teddy bear or two trying to steal a few licks when no one was looking!

Creative ideas are everywhere at Studio Three, including this wonderful tree!

What a wonderfully clever idea to use this sample staircase leading up to this lovely tree...this is such a great idea, and I've never seen anything quite like it!

Of course you all know me, I couldn't leave the store without a little something for myself...I mean I've not been naughty...only nice, I promise!

It turns out it wasn't me who was nice, but Studio Three owners Anne and David Ford who were more than just nice...they were extremely generous as well!  I spied these darling little swirly peppermint puffs as soon as I walked in, and Anne and David gave me some to take home...sweets for the sweet they said.  Ok, they didn't actually say that, but they did give them to me, and I was thrilled, thank you Anne and David!!!

I bought some other things as well, but you'll just have to wait until after Thanksgiving when I will be hauling out the bins and putting up my new favorite finds...including the lovelies I bought from Studio Three!

After the shoot, and before I was treated to a lovely lunch with my friends Doug and Joan Vogel...thank you again, Anne gave me a beautiful gift bag with a special treat for one of my readers!

This isn't just any treat, it's a gorgeous Lampe Berger oil lamp from the Limoges Lampe Mandolino line.  An ethereal angel playing a lute graces both sides of the white Limoges bisque lamp, and it is a work of art in and of itself.

But you don't just get this beautiful lamp, this is a gift set that includes a leaded gold top, burner, instructions for using the lamp, a funnel, and of course fragrance oil.  The fragrance oil included is "Ocean Breeze," sounds soothing doesn't it?!

I took the lamp portion out just long enough to snap a few pictures, and I have to admit that it looked right at home on my white bucket bench!!!  Hmm, did I say to Anne that I would give this away....I'm feeling a little fuzzy on that!! ;-)

If you are familiar with Lampe Berger then you know they have a long history of provided soothing fragrances that not only make a home fresh and welcoming, but they also help clean the air by actually eliminating odors.  And they are also beautiful objets d'art!

I can't thank Anne and David Ford enough for giving me this lovely gift valued at $120.00.  And the best part is that one of you will get to win it!!!  Thank you Anne, David, Doug and Studio Three!!!

Before I get to the Giveaway details, I want to remind you that Studio Three Flowers will be hosting their Holiday Open House this Saturday from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm.  There will be door prizes and lots more, so if you live near La Plata, Maryland...or within driving distance...be sure to stop by and please tell them Kat from Low Tide High Style said hi!!

And if you need flowers, don't just go by what you see on their website, they have lots of custom designs to suit every budget and every taste!

Ok, now to the Giveaway details.

  2. I was a little MIA recently. My speaking calendar has been very full! What a great post to come "home" to! I love the white flocked tree. My sister made a real tree flocked one year... what a mess, but it was a stunning beauty! I got some wonderful ideas of how to "top" a tree. I'm sure I'll do something like that this year.
Beautiful and generous giveaway. I have never heard of Lampe Berger, so I did a little self education. The signature scent would be one I'd like to try... any french fragrence must be delicious!

  9. Hi! I got home from Florida on Tuesday and I'll never get caught up around here. I would be crazy in that beautiful store (I haven't read part 1 yet). I was feeling pretty anti-decorating this year, but I'm starting to think I can do it. I've picked my theme colors...the first step!

  18. I'm so excited to see some photos of the new puppy - actually more specifically, I need scale photos so I can see how big she is. It's an exciting day for you.

The trees are gorgeous. I thought that spray of candy as a tree topper was ingenious.

  19. Double thank you's for sharing this beautifully decorated store. Reno, NV is too far to travel, but if I could wiggle my nose ... I'd certainly be there!
I love how a scent can bring seemingly long lost memories back. There are so many scents that I love but I'll choose full blown magnolia flowers on a warm summer night ... heavenly!
