Behind

Mr. Tide once read that people like to know the face behind the blog...so here it is.

I prefer to be the one behind the camera, not the one the lens is focused on, but since so many of you post your pictures and I enjoy seeing the face that goes with the name, I decided to take a few pictures of myself tonight.  This was the only one I was brave enough to post!

I'm behind on everything, house cleaning, writing, laundry, replying to comments and email...you name it.  Some days there just aren't enough hours in a day to do everything I need to do.  And right now, on top of everything else, we are busy preparing my parent's house to get it ready to sell.  That means trips to the dump, yard sales, and truckloads taken to a local thrift store.

So to everyone who stops by here and leaves such wonderful comments, thank you!  Please know that I read them and they make me smile!

Now I'm happy to go back to being the one "behind" the camera as well as simply behind on my "to do" list!

  3. Hi Kat,
It's been a while since I have visited. I am glad I stopped by tonight.
Cute photo - you have beautiful eyes, not to mention your perfect complexion and more hair than I would ever know what do to with!!!

  6. And you are the mother of 2 grown up children....amazing! Where have you hidden your crow's feet? I love seeing "the face behind the blog". I am just SOO unphotogenic. My daughter assures me I look so much better "in real life" than I do in photos - comforting! Hope your "to do" list is getting smaller. ;)Sharyne

  8. Great picture Kat. It is nice to see the face behind the voice. I'm not brave enough for that yet, but maybe someday.
Hope life slows down for you a little. The older I get, the more I hate rushing.

  9. How lovely you are. Just as beautiful as the photos you take. I'm not brave enough for that. I usually run the other way when I see a camera.

  10. Hi Kat - like you, I am not comfortable in front of a camera, but your photo is just lovely. I have to tell you that I am always impressed by your diligence with posting - I admire bloggers who are so very committed to their blogs and to their readers. I'm retired and still can't get everything done - I seem to be adding more and more to my days, but I love every minute of it! Ciao, bella!

  12. Hi Kat, I am like you, shying away from photos of myself. I love your picture. I don;t know waht I pictured you looking like, but I was surprised. In a good way. What amazing skin you have.....not a wrinkle to be seen which is quite a feat for a woman with grown children.

  14. Oh I agree with them all! Absolutely beautiful eyes, gorgeous complexion, love the hair.....You are so young! I'm so glad to "see" someone that I just love to "hear" your words! Thank you for posting yourself! Makes you so much more real. I had to laugh at the post that it looks like you're singing with a hairbrush. That was cute!

  17. What a lovely picture even without a lower part to your face. You have lovely eyes. Did you photoshop your eye color or are they that pretty shade? Thanks for sharing more of yourself with us....lol....

  20. I know, it's so much easier to be the one behind the camera! I love being able to put a face to the name - so happy that you posted this beautiful picture!

  21. Oh how fun to finally "meet" you!

I HATE having my picture taken. We just had them done for yearbook here and were given the little wallet ones as freebies and I just threw them away. Don't know who'd want a photo of an old lady in their wallet anyway!? My phobia about pictures goes way back: in high school, I was the yearbook photographer; in college, I was on the photo staff; there's something "safe" about being behind the lens, isn't there?

Anyway, welcome to the daylight! Don't hide!!!

  22. It's always fun to see who we're 'talking' to!
I'm behind too - two deadlines and I'd rather be doing anything that avoids them!

  23. Kat, You are definitely an "in front of the camera" person! I am so excited to finally get a glimpse of the beautiful person you are. I already knew all about your inner beauty! (I am very behind too, how does that happen to one who has no day job?!) xo ~Lili
