Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow

Photo:  Unknown

The last few days, and really the last few weeks, have been crazy around here and there's no end in sight.  I've lined up some wonderful homes for you all to see, and I have lots of exciting things in the works!  Which is all fine and good except I'm only one person and that means that something's gotta give...and I don't mean the movie OR the house!

I'm out nearly every day taking photos for upcoming posts, on the phone scheduling new homes, and along with my "real" job, I'm falling way behind on my blog visiting, commenting, and replies...not to mention laundry and yard work!

Please know that I read each and every one of your wonderful comments, and I try to visit your blogs every few days to get caught up, but often times I don't comment on all of your wonderful posts!  One of the greatest things about being in your 40's is that you realize that you can't be wonder woman and that you can only do what you can do.

So, here I am, knee deep in emails, swamped with writing, and trying to scout homes for one of the most amazing opportunities I've had in my writing career and I'm feeling horrible!  You see, instead of dancing a jig for all of the wonderful things that are going on right now, I have a nice dose of guilt hanging over my head!  I was raised by a Virginian, and that means that thank you notes are handwritten, proper etiquette is like breathing, and not replying to every lovely comment is just down right rude!

But this southern girl just can't do it!  I want to, I try to, but I simply can't!  So I will do my best to answer specific questions, I promise to try and bring you wonderful homes and great giveaways, and I will enjoy each of your blogs regardless of whether or not I comment on every entertaining post you make!  But in order to do all of that, I will need to scale back on my replies and I hope you'll all understand!

So will you still love me tomorrow?!  I sure hope so!

And don't forget there is still time to enter my latest Giveaway!

  3. I totally understand, it can get overwhelming. I try my hardest to visit all the blogs on my reading list, but between work, starting a new business and getting ready for Cait's graduation, something has to give! Can't wait to see what you are working on. Kathy

  5. Oh Kat, you are soooo not alone. I am constantly guilt ridden over not having the time to reply to comments and emails... is really is not possible every day. We are all busy and getting busier the more lovely bloggy friends we make! Aren't we funny how we put this incredible pressure on ourselves when really, everyone understands! A-M xx

  9. Don't worry about it, Kat. I've had to scale back too as the family was feeling the lack of attention. I can't work, do the usuals around the house, write posts every day, and reply to every comment and blog I follow. Just keep doing what you do so well - writing lovely blog posts for us to enjoy. We still feel the love.

  10. Don't worry about it Kat. You aren't expected to respond to every comment and leave a comment on every blog you follow. I've had to scale back as well. Just keep doing what you do so well - writing lovely posts. I'm very excited for you at the opportunity that has presented itself.

  11. We will still love you tomorrow Kat! I can relate and have the same guilt about not being able to respond to every comment, post as much as I would like or read all the posts on my reading list. We just have to do what we can and hope it is understood. Focus on your opportunities and tell us all about them when you can!

  17. You have created such a gorgeous place over here and I've always been amazed at how prolific your posts are along with all the comments and visits you make to respond to everyone. I would imagine at some point it would become physically impossible to keep this pace up as your following has grown so quickly! Can you imagine keeping up the pace of visiting all those blogs when you reach 1000 followers...which I'm sure will happen sooner than you could imagine! And please don't ever worry about making comments over at my place...I just enjoy the fact that you are still one of my followers! Give yourself permission to just enjoy without pressure of having to respond!!! ~Lili

  19. First, that photo is just too cute. And second, I feel the same way right now. I am swamped and barely have time to do the things I want to do let alone clean my house and keep order in my life. It's getting to me just a wee bit.

  20. I think you are feeling the crunch that all women feel from time to time when we realize we can not be all things to all people in our lives. It is the balancing act in life that always plagues us. I have a saying that I end each blog post with and it is,"Enjoy the process" I think when life gets to busy we are missing the joy in our lives. No apology needed just get your balance back so you can " Enjoy the Process"
