Bridal Shower Part II

If your name is Katy, and you're getting married in May, STOP reading this immediately!

You may remember a post I did last month about a bridal shower my daughter and I are hosting at our house this weekend.  I can't tell you too much, because a certain bride has been known to sneak a peek at my blog to try and get the scoop on her shower, which isn't a surprise, but still!

I've been having a blast running around doing the final preparations (okay the cleaning isn't that much fun, but the rest sure is!) and we are now down to the wire.  A little over 24 hours and counting and my home will be filled with lots of lovely ladies honoring Katy, bestowing gifts upon her, and wishing her well as she prepares to enter married life!

I can show you the cute little favor bags I finished up this morning.  I just love how they turned out!

I put the Jordan almond favor bags into a large trifle bowl so that guests can easily grab one as they leave the shower!

And remember those sparkly floral Martha Stewart stickers I found at Michaels but wasn't quite sure what I would use them for?  Well they made the perfect addition to the tags I used, and I even included the initials of both the bride and groom on each tag!

I love the look of the colorful favor bags inside the glass trifle bowl!  The pink and green ribbons, along with the pretty pastel candy coated almonds are so festive looking and just right for such a special event!

The sweet little embossed Martha Stewart heart stickers were a great finishing touch to the favor bags and what blushing bride isn't thinking about hearts and love at her bridal shower?!

So there you have it, my super simple, but oh so cute bridal shower favor bags!  Miss Katy is WAY too much like me, her mother and I often joke that our children were switched at birth because my daughter is just like her and vice versa, so I know Katy has read every last word of this post...just like I would have!

So since I know she's been peeking...again...please know Katy that I promise I won't be a bloggy shutterbug tomorrow, following you all around and taking pictures.  Instead I will sit back and enjoy the day and join in the excitement and celebration right along with you, your friends, and your wonderful family!  See you tomorrow!

  2. Those favors are a great idea. I helped my daughter give her friend a shower here at our house a few years ago. That was fun, but also a lot of work and money. More work for me than my daughter. Hope you have a wonderful time at the shower.

  4. A sweet hello from Frog Hollow Farm! I'll have to remember to contact you for my daughter's bridal shower - first we need to find her a fiance. She'd kill me if she knew I said that! Ciao, bella!
