Today has been warm and breezy...the kind of day where you just want to be outside and on a beach somewhere.
Actually I did a little bit of both. This afternoon I had lunch with my dear friend Anna, and we ate outside which was so wonderful this early in the year. She filled me in on her recent trip to Costa Rica and some cool coastal ideas she has in the works, so when I got home I had to go hang out by the water for a bit, just to get a little beach vibe going.
I know summer is just around the corner and my whole being is craving it. Even my pictures reflect it with their beachy blues and greens.
If we continue to have weather like this, it won't be long before my flip flops are out of the closet and shorts and t-shirts become my new uniform. Ahh, is there anything quite as wonderful as those warm summer breezes?!
Lovely colors, Kat! Definitely showing the coming of "sand and sea."
ReplyDeleteI know right. I have a short tennis skirt on which is scary, kind of. I wrote in my post today that I am afraid of 105 degree temps by June and I am not joking. The sand dollar is lovely. I am having fun with my camera.
ReplyDeleteYou know I love these photos, both the subject and the colors! I've already had flip flops on a couple times this year...but, they just said parts of our area have freeze warning/watches. I think we are a few counties south, but obviously the weather is changing in the next 24 hours. Ugh. At least we know it won't last!
ReplyDeleteKat, we have had summer temps for weeks and everyone is already in shorts and flip flops. In fact I need to get some new flip flops. I have sweated buckets working in the yard for three days now. This is the strangest weather. All the trees are completely grown in already and the yards are green. So early for all this. I am battling huge ants outside, too. They are everywhere. I have sprayed and sprayed and set out ant bait things today. It just never got cold enough to kill the darn things. Love these pictures and they make me long for the beach.
ReplyDeleteThese pictures would feel at home in a beach house...so pretty! We cooled off this week, it's 50 degrees now and we are back to heavy quilts at night. I'm not sure how long this will last, but at least it's the norm for this time of year!
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a great week, Kat!
XO,
Jane
Oh Kat, you are making me beach envious. Just love the shore, and your photos really reflect that you enjoy it too!!! Thanks for sharing. PS It has been like summer here in TN too, but cold on it's way back in.
ReplyDeleteLove those pics! I'm so dreaming of flip flops and the beach!
ReplyDeleteThe beach is sounding good to me, too, Kat! We are putting our docks in this weekend!
ReplyDeleteUmmmmm...it is almost 30ºF here right now. Send heat! xo Diana- Great images!
ReplyDeleteDiggin that starfish and last sand dollar. I have gal pals who swoon for those two colors on anything!!
