Thank you everyone for your wonderful holiday location suggestions, I've been pouring over each and every one of them!!! We still haven't decided where we will be heading, but I'll keep you posted.
I've been a little under the weather this week, not sure what is going on, but I know something isn't right with my body. I've actually felt a little like the sunflower pictured above, a bit droopy.
Mr. Tide was sweet enough to bring me two big bunches of these lovely happy faced flowers from the grocery store yesterday. Even when you are feeling a bit droopy, you can't help but be cheered up by these gorgeous rays of sunshine!
I hope you each have a wonderful weekend!
oh Kat these are beautiful pictures...i know i love fresh flowers.....this yr my flowers didn't do well do to the heat dry spell then all the rain we are getting.....i haven't cut any flowers in least 6 wks for inside.

Oh my goodness! I somehow missed the chance to give you vacation destination options - - - I would TOTALLY have recommended Wisconsin.
ReplyDeleteDoor County is famous for its quaintness and beauty.
The Wisconsin Dells are famous for water parks and scenic boat rides up and down the Wisconsin River.
Hayward Wisconsin is our favorite Northwoods destination - - - lots of lakes, fishing, and a cute little tourist shop town.
Bayfield is the gateway to the Apostle Islands. It is one of the cutest towns I've ever seen - - - and if you've never been on Lake Superior, you would be in for a GREAT treat.
OK - - - just thought I'd throw in my two (or ten) cents worth.
Gorgeous images! And I do hope you're feeling better by now. These flowers would cheer up anyone.
ReplyDeleteSunflowers are a favorite of mine. Oh how lovely are your pictures. Feel better soon. Bonnie
ReplyDeleteThey are so cheerful! Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel less droopy soon. Mr. Tide is a keeper.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Sunflowers~ do hope you're feeling 100% soon!
ReplyDeleteThose are wonderful flowers. Any man who brings flowers is a guy who "gets it." I used to know a guy who refused to buy his girlfriend flowers. His excuse was, "Well, they're just going to die. What's the point." Yeah... and now he's wondering why he doesn't have a girlfriend. Poor sod. Bringing someone flowers is like leaving your smile with them. Even when you go away your smile is still there. :)
ReplyDeleteYou have a very pretty blog. I hope you feel better soon. Even when the flowers are a bit "droopy" , they are still . . .
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL!
Sunflowers are so bright and smiley, I love them too. Kat hope you're feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteKat, those sunflowers are just gorgeous! I hope you feel so much better really soon!
ReplyDeletegood to know despite feeling unwell and a little droopy...you still shine!

Beautiful pictures. Sorry you are under the weather :( I need to chime in on the "where to go"...Nantucket...Martha's Vineyard....new Castle New Hampshire to Wentworth by the Sea, Whitefield VT to Mountain View Grand....Provincetown....so many choices!
ReplyDeletePraying for your good health, my friend!
ReplyDeleteAnd need I say it again?
COME TO FREDERICKSBURG, TEXAS!!! ;-)
XO,
Me
Yellow flowers always bring sunshine and I hope they make you feel better, too. It's been a long time and I wanted to say hi. Jane
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you are under the weather...Icy Hot and the heating pad are my best friends for the past week, so I know how frustrating it is when you "aren't yourself". I love the sunflowers...they do make me smile.
ReplyDeleteI read your last post and 3 places come to mind. I think everyone should see Savannah, GA at least once. It is interesting and beautiful and lovely to combine with a trip to Charleston, SC just a few miles away. I don't relax when there...my husband has me walking all the time!
However...we just spent several days at the Vero Beach Hotel and Spa in Vero Beach, FL and loved it. The hotel is beautiful and within walking distance to several restaurants and little shops. I didn't get in the car until the last evening. The beach was wonderful and the spa...I had a massage and wanted to live there. It isn't exciting, there isn't a ton to do, but it was the most relaxing place I'd been in ages.
As for our favorite place to go...Traverse City, MI. Beautiful scenery, very laid back (jeans, t's and tennis shoes most of the time), fabulous restaurants and shopping, dozens of wineries in the area and roadside fruit stands and of course the water. We go at least once a year (we are going in October) and plan to summer there after retirement. I wouldn't want to be there in the winter, but any other time...I love it!
My gosh, these are lovely photos, Kat! I sure hope you are feeling better now! Take care!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are feeling much better today! I love your sunflower pictures, so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunny flowers! I've just been listening to the Lindsay MccCaul song on an earlier post - it's gorgeous. Thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes,
