(Daguerreotype of my Great Grandmother taken by my Great Grandfather)
I hope that each of you goes out this weekend...
to create a few photographs and memories of your own, so that some day, someone will treasure the things you capture through your lens!
Happy Weekend Everyone, I'm off to take a few pictures.
Oh my goodness Kat, to actually have one of the earliest forms of photography of a relative is so cool. We have collected the daguerreotypes and ambrotypes and tins for many years, but I'm so excited to see yours is of family!! Sighing here. Love how you framed it up with the one of your daughter. xo ~Lili
ReplyDeleteGreat photo with your daughter in the background. I"m afraid the lighting is so dim at this time of the year that it is hard to work with (at my level of proficiency anyway).
ReplyDeleteI love looking at old photos. Kat, just look at your great grandmother's tiny, tiny waist. I am so envious.
ReplyDeleteOh, how interesting. I've been taking photos with my phone this weekend. And hey, today I bit the bullet and bought the vacuum I've been talking about. So psyched! Brought it home and vacuumed half the house. Tomorrow it's going to get another work out.
ReplyDeleteThat is a splendid idea! That's what I try to do..and I'm not very good at it...but I hope to create memories for my kids and grandkids! xo Diana
